Schaff’s World Cup Results Are Eliminated After A Failed Drug Test

Due to the fact that American archer Kris Schaff failed a drug test, the results of his competition in the 2021 Archery World Cup phase held in Guatemala have been nullified, but he will not face any additional punishment.
Schaff provided evidence that convinced the International Testing Agency that the athlete had gotten boldenone into his system as a result of eating infected meat.
As a result, there was found to be no fault or negligence in the situation.
Boldenone is a steroid that is not permitted to be used, yet it is frequently utilized in cattle-rearing in Latin America. The World Anti-Doping Agency classifies Guatemala as one of three countries that provide a significant risk of meat contamination.
Due to Schaff’s disqualification in the men’s compound competition, Jozef Bosansky of Slovakia now holds the bronze medal spot. Schaff had previously held the third place position.
The United States of America had also been ranked third in the men’s team compound competition; however, France has already taken their place.
Since Schaff’s performance in any of the other World Cup legs will not be affected in any way, he will be able to keep the bronze medal he earned in the solo competition at the season’s end in Yankton.
Schaff, who is now 30 years old, has been a member of two world champion teams. He won one of those gold medals in 2021, following the failed test.
